The Boys
Another solid attempt at a "realistic"/gritty world of superheroes, this time with a strong anti-capitalist and anti-fascist narrative. Despite the shock factor, not as dark as it's made out to be.

A classic of British irreverent humour, in no small part because of the excellent cast. Inventive, always entertaining, and downright hilarious at times, even if some episodes have aged a little (though, thankfully, rarely in a gross way).
Less irritating, but also somehow less interesting and less funny. Did enjoy the return cast though.
A little on the nose, but beautifully designed and an excellent message.
A clever look at both Batman and superhero motifs in general tied together in a funny, clever kids movie with a surprising amount of heart.
The first season is great. The casting makes sense once you realise that it's more nuanced than expected. Unfortunately, the subsequent seasons do not live up to the same standard.
A clichéd beginning that manages to craft an entertaining – if not entirely original – plot, with some fun characters and interesting implications for the wider narrative.
Not a huge amount of depth, but plenty of interesting ideas and a hell of a final act. An emotional gut-punch.
A clever idea and a fun cast make for a very entertaining mystery, even if you aren't hooked on true crime podcasts.
An incredible sequel, an impressive new first chapter, and one hell of a visual smorgasbord!
A phenomenal performance and a fascinating story full of tension.
A fitting ending to a fun ride.
